Actress Cindy Morgan, whose credits include Caddyshack and Tron, has died.
Per TMZ, Morgan’s death was confirmed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, but the cirumstances surrounding her passing are not yet clear. All that’s known at this time is that Morgan died “in the area.” She was 69 years old.
Morgan may have been best known for playing Lacey Underall in the 1980 comedy Caddyshack, which marking one of her first feature film roles. Directed by Harold Ramis, the film also starred Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, and Bill Murray. The widely celebrated film is still very popular to this day, considered by many to be among the very best sports comedies ever created.
Morgan is also celebrated by many fans for playing dual roles in the sci-fi classic Tron, portraying a human researcher along with her virtual alter-ego. While Morgan did not appear in the 2010 sequel Tron: Legacy, she briefly reprised her role as Lora for a faux news conference that year to promote the film alongside co-star Bruce Boxleitner. Morgan had also returned to the franchise by voicing a separate A.I. character in the video game Tron 2.0, which was first released in 2003.
