June Blair was a popular starlet during her heyday in the late 1950s and beyond. She famously appeared as one of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Playmates in 1957 and later in the television series “The Adventure of Ozzie and Harriet,” in which she played the role of June Nelson on the popular program. June Blair passed away at the elderly age of eighty-nine, and her death was announced on Facebook by Tracey Nelson, June’s niece, a loving family member.
In a heartfelt post to followers on Facebook, Tracey Nelson wrote: “Sweet, gorgeous Aunt June Blair Nelson has passed away. God bless James and Dan. I love you.” She did not mention a cause of death. June was 89 years old.”
June first came into the world to a happy family unit in the city of San Francisco, California, back in 1933. After a healthy childhood, June launched a career in modeling and landed a few acting roles in movies throughout the 1950s and 1960s. She earned her biggest moment of fame when she was listed as the Playboy Playmate of the Month in January 1957. She also made her biggest splash in Hollywood that same year with the release of the hit movie, “Hell Bound.”

When she was twenty-seven years old, June married actor David Nelson. She even played his wife on the show “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.” Her character on the popular program was June Nelson, also known as Mrs. David Nelson.
During their marriage, the pair brought two children into the world. June gave birth to a son, whom she named Daniel, and a daughter named Jamie. June and David Nelson remained married for fifteen years until their marriage ended in a bitter divorce in 1975. The pair were separated for much of the rest of their lives until David passed away in 2011.
On social media, a number of June Blair fans shared tributes to the late Playboy Playmate and actor. Some of the more prominent tributes were the following:
“June Blair has sadly passed away at the age of 89. She was best known for her role on the television show, The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet. She was also the January 1957 Playmate of the Month for Playboy.”
