The Walgreens located at 2829 Division Avenue in Wyoming will be closing next week on Thursday, Nov. 9.
According to Kris Lathan, a spokesperson for Walgreens, several factors were taken into account when making this decision.
Lathan said they evaluated how many stores were currently open in the Wyoming area, the dynamics of the local market, changes in buying habits from the community and other factors to create “the right network of stores in the right locations.”
Pharmacy patients at this Walgreens location will receive notice about where their prescription files will automatically transfer so they can continue to have access to their medications. Lathan said they shouldn’t need to take any action.
Lathan said Walgreens is working to keep employees who currently work at this location and move them to locations nearby.
