Popular Instagram Model Died Tragically Cause Of Dangerous Butt Lift Surgery

An Instagram model from Mexico who was trying to achieve a body like Kim Kardashian’s has passed away after plastic surgeons in Colombia “botched” her butt lift. Now, Joselyn Cano, from Newport Beach, California, has passed away at the young age of twenty-nine because her surgeon was unable to safely operate on her body. The young rising star was reported to have died on December 7 and her family live-streamed her funeral services to YouTube last week.

The model’s death came as quite a shock to people on social media. Influencer Lira Mercer was the insider who broke the news with the world. She wrote on Twitter, “Omg, Joselyn Cano died in Colombia getting surgery. That’s wild.”
Although Cano’s death has not yet been confirmed by those closest to her, including her family, it seems that the rising star has fallen. Many people have taken to social media to share their condolences and best wishes to her family.
At the time of her death, Cano was a rising star. She had amassed a social media following of more than twelve million individuals. She also worked as a model and fashion designer. And to top of her string of successes, her LinkedIn profile proclaims her a graduate of Microbiology at San Diego State University.
The live-streamed funeral services showed bereaved family members of Cano mourning the loss of the young celebrity. They had her remains in a casket along with a large picture of her.

“Joselyn entered this life on Wednesday, March 14, 1990. She entered into Eternal Life on Monday, December 07, 2020,” a message televised during the life-stream reported.

Although the death of this Instagram influencer has yet to be confirmed, her social media page has not been updated since December 7, 2020. Prior to reports of her death, the page was updated at least once per week, if not more often.

Social media users shared their condolences to the model’s surviving family members.

“Rip Joselyn Cano so young and so beautiful,” one person wrote.
Another added: “What the fk? Joselyn Cano died from getting a [Brazilian butt lift]? That st is crazy.”

A Brazilian butt lift is a plastic surgery procedure where the surgeon removes fat from another part of the body and puts it into the buttocks to make them appear fuller. Brazilian butt lifts or BBLs are extremely popular in the United States right now. Celebrities and Instagram influencers like Kim Kardashian have made the cosmetic procedure famous in recent years.

From 2000 to 2015, the rates that doctors performed butt lift procedures skyrocketed a staggering 252 percent. The total went from 1,356 procedures back in 2000 to a staggering 4,767 procedures per year by 2015. Even more, are likely conducted each year now.
Although Brazilian butt lifts are relatively safe when done properly, life-threatening complications can arise when the procedure is done incorrectly. When fat is injected into the body, it can enter the bloodstream and block blood vessels. According to an online database, the likelihood of dying from a Brazilian butt lift is one in three thousand.
