Prince George is one position behind his father, Prince William

 

in the line of succession for the British monarchy. Although no one can predict when he will inherit the throne, his parents will teach him all the qualities and abilities required for him to become a good and just king over the ensuing years.

It’s interesting that debates about the monarchy’s legitimacy have persisted for a long time. Some people in Britain would have preferred, for example, that the line of regents ended with Queen Elizabeth and that Charles never succeeded his mother as monarch.

With that in mind, it’s not hard to picture a scenario in which the Royal Family’s status and influence are increasingly threatened. Prince George may not even take the throne, if one historian is to be believed.

On July 22, 2013, Prince George was born. Of course, the little prince generated a lot of media attention, and the Commonwealth as a whole rejoiced in his birth.

Early January 2016 saw George begin his academic career at Norfolk’s Westacre Montessori School. The future king has new classmates this semester after transferring to Thomas’s Battersea School in September 2017.

William and Kate made the announcement that their children would transfer from their London schools to Lambrook School in Windsor at the end of August.

In a statement, it was stated that “Their Royal Highnesses are enormously grateful to Thomas’s Battersea, where George and Charlotte have had happy starts to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively. They are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children that shares a similar ethos and values to Thomas’s.”

Jonathan Perry, headmaster at Lambrook, said, “We are thrilled that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as we all as all of our new pupils, to our school community.”

The school the royal children are now attending is not just any school. Lambrook has a history of enrolling royal students. Prince Christian Victor and Prince Albert of Schleswig-Holstein, two of Queen Victoria’s grandsons, were in fact students there.

According to the BBC, the annual tuition for all three royal children is estimated to be around $56,000. It also offers a privileged education.

As previously mentioned, Prince George follows his father, Prince William, in the line of succession. The small prince’s ambition to rule the world one day, however, might only be a dream.

In an interview with The Times from last year, author and historian Hilary Mantel expressed her opinion that George will never become king.

Prince William will be the last ever king, according to the late historian, who sadly passed away on September 20, 2022, at the age of 70 from complications from a stroke. The line of succession will come to an end there, according to her “back of the envelope” prediction.

Mantel told The Times, “I think it’s a realistic prediction, but let’s say I wouldn’t put money on it. When people are just viewed as celebrities in today’s society, it can be difficult to comprehend the monarchy.

“I’d like us to all keep our words to ourselves and give them a chance to find some resolution.”

The Wolf Hall trilogy, written by Booker Prize-winning author Hilary Mantel, is regarded as a true classic. One of the greatest English novelists of the 20th century, she was highly regarded.

In 1990, Mantel was additionally chosen to be a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. For her contributions to literature, she was also named Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2014 and received a CBE in the 2006 Birthday Honours.
