Husband refuses to leave his wife after terrible fire destroys her face – shows the true meaning of love

In Australia six years ago, 27-year-old Turia Pitt, a former model, was competing in an ultramarathon when a bush fire engulfed her.

Over 64% of her body was severely burnt.

She might not live, according to the doctors.

Michael Hoskin, Turia’s lover, left his position as a police officer to care for her after the accident. He has always supported her and remained by her side. Michael was aware that he was ineffective.

Turia has undergone 200 procedures since the catastrophe. She suffered the loss of seven fingers and required more than two years to recover. When she was trapped by fire during a 100-kilometer race in a remote part of Western Australia in 2020, she was interviewed and revealed the terrible incident.

“I remember seeing bits of my skin stuck to the rocks and spinifex,” Pitt said and explained that she felt a “bubbling feeling of panic.”

Michael bought Turia a diamond ring while she was in intensive care four years prior and used it to pop the question to her in 2015. When they were on vacation in the Maldives, according to Michael, he proposed to her.

“When Turia was in intensive care four years ago I bought a diamond ring,” Michael explains.

For the first two years of her recovery, Turia had to cover her face with a mask. She started to get better gradually but steadily. Every day, Michael tells his wife, “You’re beautiful.” In 2016, the couple exchanged vows.

Turia expresses her gratitude to Michael for all of his assistance over the course of the past seven trying years, the majority of which she has spent in the hospital.

“Going to sleep next to my partner I never thought anything of before. Now I think how lucky am I get to sleep next to this beautiful man. He’s a good guy and I’m very lucky to have him,” Turia Pitt tells the Daily Mail.

“Every day I wake up beside Michael is a great day.”

The pair has worked hard to rebuild their lives and move on since the horrible catastrophe.

“She doesn’t want people to feel sorry for her. She just wants to get on with her life,” Michael tells News.com.au. “She’s beautiful, she’s amazing.”

But despite everything, they felt like their lives lacked something. They desired to start a family.

Turia announced her pregnancy with the couple’s first child in 2017 on Instagram.

Australia, where many had followed the pair’s trip for years, experienced a rapid spread of the news.

In spite of the fact that she wouldn’t be able to run a marathon for a while, the pregnant mother claimed that she was maintaining her fitness while carrying a child.

Their newborn child quickly followed.

On December 7, 2017, Michael and Turia welcomed their son Hakavai into the world.

The couple announced the birth of their second child, a son called Rahiti Hoskin, on February 9, 2020.

They are currently a happy couple raising their child together.

What a heartwarming tale that demonstrates that love truly does conquer all!

Michael and Turia are role models who should be imitated, and their love story is proof of what true love is all about.
